Attention Students: the “Do Good Things” Grant Opportunity is back!

You! Yes, YOU! You are smart. You are kind. You have great ideas. You can make a difference! You can DO GOOD THINGS! How will you make a positive difference in the lives of others this year? Maybe you want to run a bake sale and donate the proceeds to a local organization close to your heart. Or, maybe you need to buy some stationery supplies so you and your friends can make creative letters to send to our service members who are overseas. Or, maybe you want to make dog treats to take to foster pets in a local rescue. Whatever it is, PTA wants to help you get started!
Five students, or student groups, will each be awarded a $50 grant to use towards supplies or other expenses needed to get you started on the path to a good deed. Proposals may be for projects, activities, books, equipment or anything that may be needed to complete your “Good Thing”. While preference is given to those that offer enrichment to our local Savannah-area community, you are also encouraged to submit proposals that will reach beyond the boarders of Chatham County. Document your project with pictures and what you learned.
The final step to complete your grant is a short presentation during the final PTA meeting of the year in April. The submission deadline is Thursday, October 3rd. Awards will be announced at the Fall Festival on October 25th and posted at school the following week. Please place your completed form in the PTA box in the school office or return it to your teacher. We look very forward to reading all your wonderful plans to DO GOOD THINGS!
