Learn How to Be an Advocate for Your Student

The Charles Ellis PTA together with the National Center for Learning Disabilities is proud to host the first Parent Advocate Academy! This is a FREE event and is open to the public. Since the Ellis PTA has worked so hard to make this event happen, we are opening registration to Ellis families first. Please note there is limited space for this event (approximately 45 spots). We will open registration to the general public next week.
If you are interested in learning how to advocate for our students, or want to learn more about learning disabilities, how they affect our community, and what you can do to help, please consider joining us.
To officially register for the event, please be sure to get your tickets via the EventBrite link in the Facebook event.
Jessica Gordon, from NCLD will also be offering one on one or small group sessions in the days leading up to the event. If you have specific questions about your child's IEP, would like help organizing your IEP binder, have questions about 504s, or another specific issue you would like to address, please reach out to Kelly Pack (kelly.ellispta@gmail.com) or Erin Roma (erinroma80@gmail.com) to schedule an appointment.
This is such a great FREE opportunity and we are every so grateful to the National Center for Learning Disabilities and The Matthew Reardon Center for Autism for supporting this wonderful event!
